Soak in the Sun

Sharjah is sunny and warm year-round, offering visitors the perfect opportunity to relax under the sun. Most hotels feature an outdoor swimming pool, and Sharjah’s numerous long white sandy beaches line the warm, turquoise waters of the Arabian Gulf. There are also plenty of private beach clubs offering all manner of watersports, from deep sea fishing to jet skiing and waterskiing. Sharjah’s east coast is renowned for its phenomenal scuba diving and snorkeling, with opportunities to swim with dolphins, turtles and a plethora of species of fish. For a more traditional experience, hop aboard a wooden dhow on Khalid Lagoon for a sunset cruise.

Flavours of Al Qasba

Indulge in international and regional cuisines at Al Qasba with everything on offer from Japanese to Thai to Arabic. Cozy restaurants and cafés line the banks of the canal, offering diners the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy the beautiful Venetian-inspired surroundings in a family setting. Wander through the art galleries to see some of the Arab world’s best modern art. Take a ride on the Eye of the Emirates, the UAE’s largest Ferris wheel at 60 meters; sit in the air conditioned cabins and enjoy breathtaking views of Sharjah and neighboring Dubai. Or sail down the canal in a traditional abra (boat).

Shop till you Drop

Shopping in Sharjah is both convenient and easy, with a wide range of goods and a variety of shopping experiences ranging from high end malls to traditional souks available, all located near Sharjah’s major hotels. Modern malls like Sharjah Mega Mall, Sharjah City Centre and Sahara Centre carry world famous brands while the authentic souks offer visitors the opportunity to bargain for items from Arabian carpets, antiques and lanterns to tourist souvenirs.
